Want something new and fun to add to a special Christmas Card this season or maybe give to someone to hang on the tree.  This elegant star made with the Tag Punch and the Small Tag Punch is really quite simple.

You will need

  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • White Vellum
  • Tag Punch
  • Small Tag Punch
  • Scissor
  • Two-way glue

Take the small tag punch and punch.

I used orange for the demo so you can see it better.  Now take your Larger Tag Punch and put over the original small tag that you punched and punch, this will give you a tag frame.

You will punch 8 of these.

Take a piece of Vellum or Patterned Paper

And then place the next four on top of the first four as shown. You will see the star, cut around the edges to create your star.

Then place your star on a card you can make two and layer them for more points… play and have fun!

Everyone's favorite event is coming and making a variety of cards.  In the past these were called a 10-10-10.   The new name to reflect the excitement of the evening is a CARD CELEBRATION.  Sunday early mornings is my time to surf the net for great card ides.  I always save my favorites in a folder and when planning an event pick out my projects.  I want to thank anyone who may have shared their idea or inspired me.

Here are the cards we made at this weeks Card Celebration.

We usually only have about 15 trick or treaters.  I love seeing the little goblins and wish we had more!   Each year I hand stamp the treat holders.    Here is a sample of  what I made and the directions.  You could also make these for stocking stuffers and change them to holiday ones, valentines, Easter, the ideas are endless.

First you take a 2 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 6" & 6 1/4".  Punch the word window on the end of one side.

Fold on the scores.

Insert Gum and attach the design with a dimensional.

Tuck the top fold underneath the Scallop Circle and you have a finished treat holder.
